Dustin Filippini

Dustin is a Web Engineer for 10up and first started using WordPress in 2005. After experiencing the WordPress community, he instantly loved it and knew it was something he wanted to be a part of. Dustin is a Core Contributor to WordPress and has multiple plugins in the plugin repository. He also organizes WordCamp Milwaukee and the Milwaukee WordPress Meetup and has spoke in the past on WordPress and web development topics at WordCamps in Chicago and Milwaukee, to college classes, and at meetups in the Milwaukee and Chicago area. Dustin lives in the Milwaukee area with his wife, 2-year old daughter, and two dogs.

Earl Gregorich

Earl has worked in the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network for over ten years. He currently runs his own internet based company and has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years in sales, business services and ecommerce.
Now in his fourth year at WSU, Earl serves as the Lead Center Director for District 4 at Wright State University where he has seen success in assisting veteran-owned businesses and supporting an active woman-owned business population in the Dayton region. While at WSU, Earl has been the recipient of two performance awards and recently won the 2012 Ohio SBDC Peer Recognition Award for Mentorship.

Brian Retterer

Ben Byrne

Ben Byrne is co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Cornershop Creative, a boutique proevider of online strategy, design and development for nonprofits and small businesses. Ben has a BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University and has been building websites professionally for nearly 14 years. To found Cornershop Creative, Ben left his position as senior front-end designer for New Signature, where his extensive experience with languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were put to good use implementing his designs on several CMS platforms, including WordPress and Drupal.

He has presented on the difference between print and web design, web typography, WordPress widgets, SASS+Compass, mobile fundraising, and other topics at at a variety of events. Ben currently lives in Richmond, IN with his wife, two kids and labradoodle.

John Hartley

John Hartley is an independent contractor based in Columbus, OH working primarily with WordPress for client sites. He is a part of WordPress plugin company Max Foundry (creators of MaxGalleria, MaxButtons Pro and MaxInbound). John is now in his third year of using and developing with WordPress and enjoys sriracha spicy rooster sauce.

Ian Dunn

Ian is a plugin developer on the Dot Org team at Automattic. He grew up in Dayton and moved to Seattle in 2010, where he’s active in the local WordPress community. In his free time, he enjoys punk rock and ice cream.

Marc Benzakein

Marc Benzakein started programing when he was 10 on the mainframe at the university in which is father worked and has been working online since the mid 90s, starting as a Network Administrator for a small, independent ISP in Southern California. Marc has been involved in almost all aspects of technology throught his life and in 2009, started developing in WordPress, first for his own purposes and then for clients. In early 2013, he got involved with ServerPress, LLC, makers of DesktopServer, a local development tool created for WordPress designers and developers designed to make it ultra-fast and simple to design, develop and deploy local websites.

Marc lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife, Jessica and two children, Eli (8) and Brenna (3).

Joe Rozsa

I am the owner and creative director of Trailer Trash Design. A small hard-hitting marketing and graphic design studio geared toward start-ups, small and medium-sized companies. I utilize WP for all my clients site needs and urge them to become involved with their sites after I’ve completed their projects. The WordCamp presentations that I give are specifically geared to the end user like my clients and issues they may come across or for those that may be helping clients admin their sites. In 2013 I was the organizer of WordCamp North Canton. It was the first WordCamp in our area and am happy to say a huge success and we’ll be doing it again this May.

Nathan Driver

Chip Bennett

Chip has been using WordPress since 2005, and has been a hobbyist web developer since the mid-90s. He has developed WordPress Themes and Plugins, and is a minor contributor to WordPress core. He is an admin for the WordPress Theme Review Team that reviews/approves Themes for inclusion in the WordPress Theme Directory, and has reviewed over 2,000 Themes. He can often be found in the WordPress.org support forums and at WordPress StackExchange. He is also a part-time freelance WordPress developer.

Tim Yow

Tim Yow began a successful career as a freelance designer back in 2004 but, within one short year, client demand steered him into the world of search engine optimization. Somewhere along the line, SEO became more than a career, it became his passion. Out of that passion, he opened YowSeo LLC to offer custom marketing strategies for startups and small businesses with a focus on SEO and local search marketing.

Tim understands the significant and lasting benefit that a company can gain by having a strong presence on the first page of a Google search and all the various strategies, good and bad, that can be deployed to gain those top spots.

Angela has 13 years of experience in website design and development – 10 of which she has specialized in WordPress. Angela creates user friendly websites that are aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate, and optimized for search engine indexing. She also has expertise in Social Media, Search Engine Optimization, and Pay-Per-Click.

Joseph Herbrandson

I’m Joseph Herbrandson, I’m a security analyst at Sucuri Security and I love working with WordPress. I look through the files of hundreds of malware infected sites every month, and work to remediate and harden them to prevent repeat intrusions and catastrophes. I have been making websites since 1999, and have been working with WordPress since 2009. I love helping people secure their computers and web projects, and always look forward to talk about security and making the internet a safer place.

John Parkinson

John Parkinson is a WordPress user, a WordCamp attendee and volunteer.
He lives in eastern Ohio, has a daughter and a son and is a grandfather to a 6 year old girl (who has him wrapped around her little finger).
John has given presentations at WordCamp Columbus in 2011 and 2013 and looks forward to giving more. He believes in giving back to the WordPress Community.
