The organizers wish to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Dayton WordCamp. It took a lot of work but we also had a lot of fun.
We are already pre-planning for WordCamp 2019 for the first week in March next year and anticipating it to be bigger and even better.

Registration starts at 8:30 am Friday and 8:00 am Saturday.
The registration area is located near the Eichelberger Forum on the first floor of the Dayton Library.
Lunch will be served both days of the conference with additional snacks served on Saturday.
Parking is easy. There is free parking under the library building. Please note that you enter on the left-hand side of the entrance. If you plan to go to the after-party, you will need to remove your car from the library parking lot, but there will be plenty of parking at the event.

Andrew had a great talk this evening on The Dayton WordPress meetup explaining the ins and outs of the new Gutenberg editor that will appear in the upcoming version of WordPress, version 5.0.

Join Niles Flores for a WordPress 101 session that will answer all the questions you have wanted to know about the platform. (Well hopefully most of them.)
This session is for beginners and people new to WordPress who want to dive into the platform and get their website or blog up and running. You will get an understanding of how to get around the WordPress dashboard, create post and pages as well as other various areas as the media library, menus, and themes.
Nile Flores is a long time WordPress designer and Developer. She also loves contributing to WordPress, and that includes speaking at WordCamps across the United States. She loves helping people and supporting Open Source projects. We hope you come to hear her talk.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the conference. We need helpers to set up, hand out badges, and run video cameras for speaker talks among other things.
Volunteering doesn’t mean you have to miss a favorite talk you want to see. We’ll try very hard to accommodate volunteer wishes to see speakers they are interested in.
